It's all about the paint

All of a sudden Master N has gotten totally into painting, I've been trying to get him into craft for 4 years and while he would play along he would get bored within minutes but now he's gone all paint crazy, as you can see, he's been going through my acrylics like no ones business, time for some heave duty poster paint me thinks!

Craft Fail!
I've also been busy! Today I got a lovely little parcel in the mail, one of my purchases I talked about last week. It was my stamp making supplies from The Habby Goddess! I straight away got thinking of a design, decided on a button, east right? Wrong! It was what they call a craft FAIL! I tried something a little less complex in design, nice straight lines, well sort of, can you guess, go on, its easy.....

CHEVRONS!!!!

Not perfect but ok for my first, second try. :D

Now I just need to get me some more easy carve rubber stuff and will get some more designs created!!!

Onto other things, I've been blog surfing and come across this little gem. 365 days of craft is an Australian craft blog run by Bronywn, who some what local to me! She's a clothes designer by day and crafter by night who has set her self the challenge of you guessed it, designing and creating something every day for 356 days. Go and check it out!

One of Bronywn's favourite places to go is Resource Rescue Craft Supplies! If you haven't been there you're missing out on a treasure trove of crafty goodness!

Here is a bit about what RRCS does (from their website).

"Our stock is supplied by many generous industries across Melbourne. We collect offcuts, seconds and discontinued lines from them that they would otherwise have thrown away. It's a win-win, because these industries don't have to pay for the removal of the waste (we do it for them at no charge) and we are then able to supply these materials to the community at very low prices, while promoting re-use and recycling for the benefit of our planet."

If you're in the Bayswater area please pop in and check out the crazy awesome amount of things for sale, and feel good that you're keeping it out of land fill!

Find out more about them here, and here.

Till next time, keep crafting xo.

What I've been pinning Friday and more...

What's up?!? I've been a little lackadaisical (don't you just love that word!) these past few days, I think I needed a wee blog break after blogtoberfest, but I will not let this blog fall by the wayside as I've done in the past, oh no!

This week (wed) I did my folio presentation for the course I want to get into next year, not trying to get my hopes up but am a little excited!!! Not sure when I'll find out, there was something said about Nov 15th but still not 100% sure. Just keep you're fingies and toes crossed for me!

I've also been doing some crafty purchasing for myself over the good old interwebs, which I hope to get next week, what did you buy I hear you ask, well...

From Four Frogs on a Log

The first thing is the clover stack and store bobbin carrier, its a handy little thing and it bounces hehe.

The Rasant thread I am trying for the first time, getting a black and white, I'm a gutterman girl, always have
been but I've been hearing good things about rasant it's supposed to be as good as or even better than gutterman and also fair bit cheaper too! Will let you know how I go.

The third thing form four frogs on a log is a bodkin, used to thread elastics, ribbons etc easily around casings.

From Fabriclove
Gorgeous deer pattern by Melly and Me, I can't wait to get her!!!!

Holy Crap it's over - {Blogtoberfest day 31!}

Well what a journey that was, I must admit it was a lot of fun and I will be doing it again next year for sure! I missed a few days here and there but I think that's fine, otherwise all blogging and no play make gem go CRAZY!!!

I wish I had something to show off for my last post of blogtoberfest but I don't :( I do have a half done project sitting there staring at me, but alas I've run out of fabric so I may have to start from the beginning, oh well.

How are you celebrating/dealing with all hallows eve? We just do lollies for kids in the neighbourhood, this year we got some halloweeny decorations (I'm thinking next year I might go all out!) and have a bowl of yummy treats ready for the goblins and ghouls (or ben 10 and dora) who will be appearing soon.

Very basic but Master N loved it! Do you do anything special for Halloween? Take the kids trick or treating? Go to or throw a Monster bash? I think it's becoming more and more a part of our society which I love, I'm not usually into commercial holidays but growing up I was always jealous of american kids getting mounds of candy, wearing cool costumes and carving pumpkins. I think every year we're going to see our stores filled with even more Halloween paraphernalia, bring it on I say!
