What I've been working on...

WOW, has it really been that long since I last posted. As you have probably gathered I'm not the best blogger. I would like to say it will change but I'm not 100% sure it will! LOL. I can only do my best I suppose!

I have been busy else where though.

I've set up the website for Two Little Blue Birds, have been working on lots of jobs for people which is exciting!

Want to see what I've been working on?

If you're interested in a design you've seen here or on my site or would like something created custom feel free to email me.

Oh to have a space of my own and other musings... - {Blogtoberfest Day 1}

It's that time of year again folks! Yep, it's BLOGTOBERFEST! The month where you post a blog a day for, you guessed it, OCTOBER! I know I've been very slack over the past few month. Life has just been cray cray!

Here's a quick runny of what we've been up to in the musing house hold...

Mr Musings lost his job
Mr Musings started studying not one but TWO courses.
One course went bust (Thanks liberals...) but another (and cheaper) course was found.
I decided to not continue with my course but my awesome course coordinator convinced me to stay on and allowed me to follow a path which suits me better next year...
TLBB has been busy, work coming in (as well as $$) which has given meaning to my life (only kiddly, kinda, sorta.)
My backs been giving be gyp. Off to the Dr's for scan referral's. It's been an on going issue for a number of years now and it's starting to stop me doing simple things...
Master Musings is enrolled in Primary school for next year (WHERE HAS MY BABY GONE!)
Mr Musings got a new job (HURRAH!) It does take him away from us 4 nights a week (and most of the day) but it's money.
I had a birthday and finally got a kindle (which I am still getting used to reading)!

So as you can see life's been hectic to say the least!

Not much crafting going on other than the digital kind in the form of logo's, FB page elements and business cards!

As for what the title of this post means, I've always wondered why creative people need studios, other than to hold the items that come along with their chosen art, but now I know. Trying to be creative with bugs bunny and a very active and attention seeking 5 year under my feet is not a simple task!!!

Oh to have a place of my own...

I'll leave you with some of the work I've been creating for my clients. If you're interested in getting TLBB to create you something for you, be it for work or play drop me an email here anytime!

| #febphotoaday | Day 2 | Words | & more

==========
In other news I had my orientation for school yesterday! One step closer to starting my new life! Classes start 9am Monday morning! My first class is a lecture, Analyse use of colour in textiles. SQUEEEEEEEE!
Then after that I have 3 hours of, Apply techniques to produce Drawing, and then Textile Design influences. OMG Can't wait! Oooh and I get to buy lot's of awesome stationary and pencils (heaven!).

I'm also working on some new design jobs for my business Atomic Gracie. Do you notice something different from the last time I spoke about this? Well as it turns out Atomic Betty is also the name of a popular (I'd never heard of it) cartoon, so to avoid future copyright issues I reluctantly changed the name to Atomic Gracie. (Gracie is special for me as it's my daughters (who we lost when she was 3 days old) middle name (Grace). I've also started a FB page where you can be kept up to date with all the AG goings on! So go on, like away! :D

Till next time....

I've lost my sewjo

and I can't find it and not sure I want too. I just don't want to sew for a 'living' it doesn't get me excited, fabric on the other had does! I can't wait to start creating my own! I still want to do the grandmothers quilt and will as it doesn't require me to sit behind a machine for hours, I can do it in my own time, sitting in front of the telly, or on the train. I don't want to do frogs any more, I don't want to make toys, to sell anyway I much prefer digitally creating things (but my confidence in that has been bashed around a bit) I'm lost. I'm anxious for school to start which happens in a few weeks but in the mean time I have to battle with my self esteem.

Have you ever lost your creative juice? Please tell me it returns as I am feeling like it's gone for good!

On a positive note, Eastside Crafters has started back up again and this month we had a new member join our group. It was unfortunate that most of our regulars weren't able to make it but I have been assured they will be back next month! But we all had a good time, I like meeting people who I click with straight away! If you're in the area or are willing to travel I would love for you to join our group! I released the 2012 dates for ESC so make sure you write it down in your diary. If you've been worrying about meeting new people, don't! I'm the shyest person I know and I started the group LOL! Seriously we're all friendly, who love craft and a good chat.

Here's some things I've been working on this week...

Logo's and Facebook page prettiness for my new biz....ATOMIC BETTY. Can you tell I love the late 1950's aesthetic!

Till next time, keep crafting...

Happy 2012! (I know I'm a week late!)

Well I'm finally back on board after the silly (crazy) season! Not a lot of crafting has been happening, I attempted to start the Christmas latch hook kit I bought from spotlight the year before when everything was 50% off, but I didn't get very far!

I've been making some yummy food, one being this scrumptious chicken caesar salad, and it was delish!

(Can you tell I've feel in love with instagram!)

TBPH I'm glad this season is over, it's exhausting!

I have been doing a bit of digi creations, and am going to be taking on design work this year, along with starting my course.

Here's some of the digi things I've created for Little Sew & Sews as well as Stoked Creations

Not long till I start my new course! WOOHOO! And I think I may have decided on a new biz name for both graphic design and screen printing, so stay tuned!

Till next time, keep crafting.
